Blue Arrow are looking for Feather Filling Operatives, or those with potential to learn, to join our customer located in Billingborough. They specialise in the manufacturing of quality cushion products for the furniture industry. Feather Filling Operatives are expected to work efficiently in a fast-paced, repetitive environment necessary in the production of pillows and cushions with accuracy and speed to achieve company expectations necessary to meet and exceed customer demands. This role involves wearing a respirator mask, since it can become quite dusty, and operating machinery, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a clean and organised work environment. Responsibilities:The Feather Filling Operative is responsible for filling various textile products, such as pillows and cushions, with feathers or other filling materials according to established production standards. Weighing and measuring feathers to achieve the specified product density.This position places a strong significance on effective teamwork, clear communication, sound judgement, safety orientation, achieving and maintaining production efficiency and a dedication to the quality of our product. All Feather Filling Operatives play a crucial role in meeting our customer requirements and are expected after initial training to perform with minimal supervision. Feather Filling Operatives may be asked to assist with other duties and work in other departments when needed to meet those requirements. Essential skills/requirements:* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision* Ability to read, write and follow directions* Ability to count and apply basic maths skills with or without a calculator* Ability to work repetitive jobs at a fast pace.* Own transport required. * The business needs of the Company vary on an ongoing basis, and overtime may be required at short notice * Our busy/peak periods will require substantial overtime including extra working days.* Lead by Example and challenge everything that is not correct and improve on it. Shift and Pay:Monday to Thursday - 7am - 16:30pm£13.50 per hour and £16.75 per hour overtime after 37.50 hrs per week. Feather Filling Operative

We are recruiting nursery workers to work in a local horticultural glasshouse. This is a day shift position with a shift, working Monday to Friday 7.30am - 16:15pm.On a Friday the shift finishes at 15:15pm.During busy period this may be extended. Overtime is available and optional, including occasional Saturday's. You will be required to undertake tasks including:Propagating small plants, watering, laying down trays of plants on the floor and loading trays onto trolleys and working on small production lines to prepare orders for customers. Line Operative

Blue Arrow are looking for line leaders, or those with potential to learn, to join a busy factory in the Bourne area. This is a temporary position but has the potential to lead to a direct contract for the right candidate after a minimum period of 12 weeks. This is a day shift position, working from 7am - 19:00pm on a continental shift pattern (3, 2, 2) which includes every other weekend. You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment leading a team of production operatives, completing the paperwork recording all stock used and produced. You will be responsible for the efficient running of the line and expected to meet targets and raising any potential issues. MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THE JOB: 1. Monitor the team's performance to ensure that targets are being met &amp; exceeded2. Motivate and encourage staff to achieve targets3. Ensure that the lines are running safely and are clean at all times.4. Encourage the team to improve working practices and methods5. Keep wastage of packaging and raw product to a minimum6. Plan line to ensure stoppages are kept to a minimum7. Follow product specifications and ensure line staff fully understands them.8. Ensure all line staff are aware of product specifications9.
