Estimated Earnings: £41,000-£52,000 Per Annum
Hours: Guaranteed minimum 45 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday
Blue Arrow is recruiting for experienced PCV Mechanics to join a well‑established engineering team based in Perth. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated Fitter/Mechanic who takes pride in delivering high‑quality work and keeping essential transport services running smoothly.
Whether you come from a PCV, HGV, LGV, automotive, plant, or similar engineering background, your expertise will play a key role in maintaining a modern and varied fleet to the highest safety and performance standards.
What You will be doing
- Carrying out MOT preparation, repairs, diagnostics, and general maintenance to industry and DVSA standards
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using modern diagnostic tools
- Responding to vehicle issues both within the depot and out on the road when required
- Contributing to a safe, efficient, and inclusive workshop environment
- Supporting apprentices and junior team members with training and guidance
- What We're Looking For
- Strong engineering experience within PSV, HGV, truck, haulage, plant, rail, automotive, or agricultural sectors
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline is desirable, though strong practical experience will also be considered
- A proactive, safety‑focused approach with high attention to detail
- Flexibility to support occasional breakdowns or off‑site work
- A team‑oriented mindset and commitment to maintaining high standards
