Location- WhitchurchEnvironment- Primary SchoolHours- Monday-Friday term time About the Role We are looking to appoint a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team in Whitchurch. The successful candidate will help prepare and serve healthy, balanced meals to our pupils and contribute to a positive lunchtime experience for young children. This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys working in a school environment and supporting children's wellbeing. Key Responsibilities* Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals for primary-aged children* Ensuring a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen and dining environment* Washing up and general kitchen cleaning duties* Supporting the smooth running of the lunchtime service* Following all food hygiene, health &amp; safety, and school policies* Interacting with children in a kind, calm, and respectful manner Person Specification* A cheerful and approachable manner* Ability to work effectively as part of a team* Reliable, punctual, and well organised* Catering or kitchen experience desirable but not essential (full training provided)* Understanding of food hygiene standards or willingness to undertake training Safeguarding &amp; DBS This post involves regular contact with children and is therefore subject to satisfactory references and an Enhanced DBS check with a check against the Children's Barred List.
