Lecturer - Electrical InstallationSalary: £31,133 - £44,841Contract: Full-timeLocation: Multi-campus roleReports to: Head of DepartmentAbout the RoleWe are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Lecturer in Electrical Installation to join a forward‑thinking Further Education team. You will play a key role in delivering high‑quality teaching, learning and assessment, ensuring students gain the knowledge, skills and confidence to reach their full potential.This role involves teaching across a range of electrical installation programmes, providing academic and pastoral support, and contributing to curriculum development and quality improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching, Learning &amp; Assessment<ul><li>Deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions across electrical installation programmes.</li><li>Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans and assessment materials.</li><li>Set and monitor individual learning targets.</li><li>Provide regular assessment, feedback and academic support.</li><li>Prepare learners for internal and external assessments and examinations.</li><li>Maintain accurate student records and progress tracking.</li><li>Participate in enrolment, induction, interviews and open events.</li><li>Contribute to ongoing curriculum development and improvement.</li></ul>Tutoring &amp; Student Support<ul><li>Provide pastoral and academic support to learners.</li><li>Deliver group and one‑to‑one tutorials.</li><li>Maintain positive relationships with employers, parents and external partners.</li></ul>Programme Leadership (where required)<ul><li>Support the leadership and coordination of programme delivery.</li><li>Contribute to quality assurance, self‑assessment and continuous improvement activities.</li></ul>General Duties<ul><li>Promote an inclusive, safe and supportive learning environment.</li><li>Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and student welfare.</li><li>Maintain discipline and positive behaviour across the campus.</li><li>Engage in CPD to stay current with industry and educational developments.</li><li>Demonstrate professionalism and uphold organisational values.</li><li>Undertake any duties appropriate to the role.</li></ul>Person SpecificationEssential Qualifications<ul><li>Level 5 teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards).</li><li>Minimum Level 3 vocational qualification in Electrical Installation.</li><li>Level 2 English and Maths.</li></ul>Desirable Qualifications<ul><li>Assessor Award.</li><li>Verifier Award.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Experience teaching in Further Education or a similar setting.</li><li>Industry experience within electrical installation or related vocational areas.</li></ul>Skills &amp; Attributes<ul><li>Ability to embed English and Maths within vocational delivery.</li><li>Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, databases).</li><li>Ability to motivate and inspire students.</li><li>Excellent organisational and administrative skills.</li><li>Flexible, adaptable and able to work collaboratively.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage a range of stakeholders.</li><li>Enthusiasm for teaching and subject development.</li><li>Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and learner success.</li></ul> Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.
