About the Role

A well‑established manufacturing operation in Newport is looking for reliable FLT Counterbalance Operatives to support their production and yard activities. This is an active, hands‑on role combining forklift work, outdoor duties, and general manufacturing support.

The environment is busy, safety‑focused, and ideal for someone who enjoys physical work and variety in their day.

Pay & Shifts

💷 £13.08 per hour + £3.27 shift allowance (where applicable)

🕒 Shift Patterns:

• Nights: 22:00 - 06:00 (immediate start available)
• Days:
  • 06:00 - 14:00
  • 08:00 - 16:00
  • 10:00 - 18:00

Full shift flexibility is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Counterbalance FLT
• Move, load and position large timber materials
• Support production and yard operations
• Use power tools as part of daily duties (training provided)
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment

What We're Looking For

• Valid FLT Counterbalance licence
• Experience in a warehouse, yard, or manufacturing environment
• Confident using power tools or willing to learn
• Comfortable working outdoors
• Physically fit and safety‑conscious
• Reliable, switched‑on, and able to work independently
