Blue Arrow are recruiting for a Facilities Supervisor in Birmingham. Requirements: - Monday to Friday full time availability - Knowledge of health and Safety, compliance and data protection - Experience in facilities operations, site security and contractor management - Supervisory experience with staff teams. Main responsibilities:Facilities Operations<ul><li style="text-align: justify;">Manage daily site maintenance, cleaning rotas, and consumables stock.</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Oversee contractors and service schedules, ensuring compliance and value for money.</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Operate and monitor site security systems (intruder alarms, access control, key holders).</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Maintain accurate records of fire, gas, and equipment servicing; conduct weekly fire alarm tests.</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Support room bookings and external hires, ensuring excellent customer service.</li></ul> Compliance &amp; Safety<ul><li style="text-align: justify;">Implement health &amp; safety procedures, including COSHH and task‑specific risk assessments.</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Support fire drills, evacuation procedures, and food hygiene checks with the maintenance team.</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Ensure cleaning staff follow safe practices and maintain required documentation.</li></ul> Staff Supervision<ul><li style="text-align: justify;">Lead and motivate cleaning staff, managing rotas, training, and performance reviews.</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Provide cover for cleaning duties or site opening/closing when required.</li></ul> Administration &amp; Support<ul><li style="text-align: justify;">Issue staff and visitor ID badges.</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Liaise with IT support and Heads of Service to maintain equipment inventories.</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Assist with policy development, audits, and community events.</li></ul> Collaboration<ul><li style="text-align: justify;">Work closely with the Compliance &amp; Facilities Manager to improve risk management and service standards.</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Deputise for the Manager when required.</li></ul> About You: Able to work well in a team - Can support others around you to ensure tasks are completed Can work well individually Able to follow instructions Must be reliable Benefits package: Holiday pay Opportunity to work for a wide range of clients and venues Weekly pay Access to our bespoke app to manage your timetable, accept/decline shifts and request holiday etc. Access to BlueArrow app to receive available job notifications, accept/decline shifts, update your availability and request holidays Discount Schemes We look forward to welcoming you to the BlueArrow Team Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.
