You will me managing 5 area sales managers</strong></p><hr /><h3>The Role</h3><p><strong>This is a senior, career-defining leadership position with full responsibility for the UK sales function. Leading a team of five Area Sales Managers, you will be accountable for driving sustainable revenue growth, increasing market share, and delivering profitable performance aligned with budgeted EBITDA.</strong></p><p>Working closely with the Managing Director and wider leadership team, you will have significant autonomy to shape and execute the national sales strategy. For the right individual, this role offers a <strong>clear pathway to becoming a member of the Board</strong>, with genuine influence over the long-term direction of the business.</p><p>We are looking for a commercially astute, ambitious sales leader with a proven ability to translate strategy into action and inspire teams to consistently perform at their best.</p><hr /><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><p><strong>Sales Strategy &amp; Growth</strong></p><ul><li>Develop and deliver a National Sales Strategy aligned with company objectives</li><li>Drive sustainable revenue growth, margin improvement, and increased market share</li><li>Identify new sales opportunities through market and competitor analysis</li></ul><p><strong>Leadership &amp; Team Management</strong></p><ul><li>Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Area Sales Managers across the UK</li><li>Set clear objectives, KPIs, and performance expectations</li><li>Foster a high-performance culture through coaching, accountability, and engagement</li></ul><p><strong>Performance &amp; Reporting</strong></p><ul><li>Monitor and analyse sales performance, providing insights and recommendations</li><li>Produce accurate and timely sales reports for the Directors</li><li>Ensure focus on profitability and EBITDA contribution</li></ul><p><strong>Customer &amp; Stakeholder Engagement</strong></p><ul><li>Support Area Sales Managers in developing strong relationships with key accounts</li><li>Travel nationwide to support the team and resolve escalated customer issues</li><li>Work closely with Marketing, Operations, and Finance to ensure alignment</li><li>Represent Tropical at trade shows, conferences, and industry events</li></ul><hr /><h3>Candidate Requirements</h3><ul><li>Minimum <strong>5 years' experience</strong> in a senior national or multi-region sales leadership role</li><li>Proven track record of delivering growth against ambitious sales and profitability targets</li><li>Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience developing high-performing teams</li><li>Highly commercially aware with the ability to analyse data and market trends</li><li>Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills</li><li>Results-driven, strategic, and motivated by long-term business success</li><li>Ambition and capability to progress into a Board-level role</li></ul><hr /><h3>Salary &amp; Benefits</h3><ul><li>Competitive salary (negotiable depending on experience)</li><li>Commission based on Area Sales Manager growth</li><li>Bonus linked to achievement of budgeted EBITDA</li><li>Company car</li><li>Company phone and laptop</li><li>Additional holiday linked to length of service</li><li>Healthcare Cashback Scheme</li><li>Employee Assistance Programme</li><li>Free on-site parking</li></ul><p><strong>Working Hours:</strong> 40 hours per week (flexible to suit the role)</p><p><strong>Travel:</strong> Nationwide travel required, including regular overnight stays</p><p> </p><p>Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.</p>
