Class 2 Driver - Drayman

Job Purpose

To deliver kegs, casks, and packaged products safely and efficiently to customers, ensuring excellent service and compliance with all legal and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Vehicle Operation: Drive a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle in accordance with UK road laws and company policies.
• Delivery Duties: Load, transport, and unload beer kegs, casks, and other products to pubs, bars, and venues.
• Manual Handling: Safely handle heavy loads using appropriate lifting techniques and equipment.
• Customer Service: Provide a professional and courteous service to customers, resolving any delivery issues promptly.
• Compliance: Complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery notes and vehicle checks.
• Safety: Adhere to health and safety regulations, including wearing PPE and following manual handling guidelines.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects immediately.

Skills & Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence, Digi card and Driver CPC.
• Experience in dray work or similar heavy lifting role preferred.
• Good knowledge of UK road transport regulations.
• Strong physical fitness and ability to handle heavy loads.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Working Conditions

• Early starts and occasional weekend work may be required.
• Physically demanding role involving heavy lifting and outdoor work in all weather conditions.
