About the Role

As a School Chef, you will play a key role in the daily running of the school kitchen. Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning, preparing, and cooking nutritious meals in line with school menus
• Managing food preparation and service to meet required standards and timings
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and allergen regulations
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment
• Working collaboratively with kitchen assistants and school staff

About You

We are keen to speak with candidates who:

• Have previous experience as a Chef or Cook in a professional kitchen
• Hold a Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene certificate, or are willing to obtain one
• Demonstrate a calm, reliable, and professional approach to work
• Understand the importance of safeguarding in an educational setting
• Have the right to work in the UK

An Enhanced DBS certificate is required for this role. Candidates who already hold a valid Enhanced DBS will be at an advantage; however, Blue Arrow can support suitable applicants with the DBS application process where needed.
