You will be working within Care homes &amp; retirement villages mainly however, we do also supply to other hospitality and catering sectors which includes schools, nurseries, restaurants, hotels, plus many moreYou will be required to help and support with any sickness, short term and long term. Both full time and Part time positions are available.PLEASE NOTE: To be able to work within this environment you must have enhanced DBS covering adult workforce, within the last 12 months or on the update service.If you don't have a DBS, you must be willing to go through all the required checks with us to be provided with one. (This will be at a cost)Why Apply?<ul><li>Great pay rates</li><li>Weekly pay</li><li>Dedicated consultant</li><li>Flexibility in your working environment</li><li>Flexibility in your working days and time, majority of shifts are Monday to Friday with occasional weekends.</li><li>Your very own App and portal to accept shifts on the go, and submit timesheets</li><li>Weekly pay</li><li>Feel-good work - residents appreciate you're cooking more than any food critic ever could</li><li>Company pension scheme</li><li>Opportunity to work with some fantastic companies as we have a lot of businesses where national agreements are agreed to offer as much work as possible.</li><li>Even though a lot of your roles will be on a temporary basis, these can quite easily lead to permanent work for the right candidates.</li></ul> Main Duties<ul><li>Work within as part of a team</li><li>Putting away stock and deliveries.</li><li>Food orders, dependant on the role you are placed into i.e head chef/chef manager.</li><li>Preparation of food including variety in diets which included texture diets, blended meals, and modified meals.</li><li>Catering for dietary needs under the IDDSI framework</li><li>Prepping/tidying areas of the kitchen including pot washing.</li><li>Adhering to all relevant health and safety requirements</li><li>Working solo or with a small team, depending on the home</li><li>Cooking nutritious food within requirements</li><li>Potential for pot washing and supporting kitchen assistant.</li><li>Ensure a clean as you go policy is being operated at all times</li><li>Possibly serving food and/or operating a till</li></ul>Requirements and skills:<ul><li>Previous experience as a chef working within care homes and nursing homes</li><li>Experience with the IDDSI framework to prepare and cook texture diets</li><li>Flexibility in shift patterns including weekends</li><li>Great communication and team work skills</li><li>Level 2 food hygiene certificate dated within the last 3 years. (ideal but not essential as training is provided)</li><li>Food allergens certificate</li><li>Level 2 Health and Safety Certificate (ideal but not essential as training is provided)</li><li>Passion for food</li><li>Ability to work under pressure</li><li>Due to certain locations a full UK driving license is required along with own access to a vehicle</li><li>An enhanced DBS (essential - as mentioned above)</li></ul> Working Hours: You can choose your working rota each week, the working hours will vary from site to site and may result in more/less work depending on your flexibility. The working environment: Due to the various different types of site we cover your working environment will change from site to site. We will look to place you in the most comfortable environments for you.
