Role OverviewWe are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Workshop Technician to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a self-motivated professional who values precision, takes pride in their work, and is eager to develop within an innovative and forward-thinking organization. Full training will be provided to support your growth and success. Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Repair and refurbish printers used in the retail sector.</li><li>Service and repair electronic devices, including barcode readers, POS (Point of Sale) systems, and chip-and-pin payment devices.</li><li>Diagnose and repair mechanical assemblies and POS terminals.</li><li>Disassemble, clean, repair or replace components, reassemble, calibrate, and test equipment.</li><li>Manage spare parts inventory using our IT database system.</li><li>Perform quality control testing to ensure compliance with company standards.</li></ul> Skills and Experience<ul><li>Skilled in using small hand tools and soldering equipment, with strong attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.</li><li>Previous experience in electro-mechanical repairs is advantageous.</li><li>Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.</li><li>Comfortable using manufacturer-specific calibration programs (training provided).</li></ul> Contract Details<ul><li>Average 40 hours per week (Week 1: 42 hours; Week 2: 38 hours) with early finish every other Friday at 12:00.</li><li>20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.</li><li>Competitive salary based on experience.</li></ul> Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.
