Deputy Manager - Contract Catering

📍 Location: Barnstaple

💰 Salary: £26,000 per annum

🕒 Hours: 37.5 hours per week (5 x 7.5-hour days)

📅 Schedule: Primarily Monday to Friday (flexible approach, mainly day shifts with occasional evening/function support)

🏠 Accommodation: No live-in available

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to join our Contract Catering team in Barnstaple. Reporting directly to the Manager, you will oversee a team of 12 across two outlets, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Manager in day-to-day operations across catering outlets.
• Oversee bar management, dining/function services, and reception services.
• Act as Duty Manager one weekend in four.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and compliance.
• Assist with staffing, training, and performance management.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in bar management, dining/function operations, and front-of-house/reception services.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to work flexibly and support functions/events as required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
