Job title: Project Monitoring OfficerLocation: AntrimDuration: 15 December 2025 - 1 February 2026 (may be extended)Hours: 09:00 to 17:00 (Monday to Friday)Salary: £18.85/hour About the role: The Project Monitoring Officer will assist the Waste Strategy and Sustainability Manager in the monitoring, administration and management of operations of a waste and recycling project across the Borough, to ensure effective delivery of contract management and service provision. Responsibilities:* Assist the Waste Strategy and Sustainability Manager in monitoring, administering, managing, and validating the operation of waste projects.* Conduct inspections, site visits, and performance monitoring of waste project to ensure high-quality service delivery and identify opportunities for improvement.* Liaise with contractors and project stakeholders to recommend and implement corrective actions where performance standards fall below contractual requirements.* Assist in the analysis and preparation of monitoring and service reports, including waste data, to ensure compliance with statutory reporting obligations and effective contract management.* Attend contract and operational meetings to contribute to the overall management and continuous improvement of waste contracts in relation to the project.* Work flexibly across the project in accordance with operational needs, ensuring that the highest standards of service delivery and consistency are achieved.
