Job title: Project Monitoring Officer

Location: Antrim

Duration: 15 December 2025 - 1 February 2026 (may be extended)

Hours: 09:00 to 17:00 (Monday to Friday)

Salary: £18.85/hour

About the role: The Project Monitoring Officer will assist the Waste Strategy and Sustainability Manager in the monitoring, administration and management of operations of a waste and recycling project across the Borough, to ensure effective delivery of contract management and service provision.

Responsibilities:

* Assist the Waste Strategy and Sustainability Manager in monitoring, administering, managing, and validating the operation of waste projects.

* Conduct inspections, site visits, and performance monitoring of waste project to ensure high-quality service delivery and identify opportunities for improvement.

* Liaise with contractors and project stakeholders to recommend and implement corrective actions where performance standards fall below contractual requirements.

* Assist in the analysis and preparation of monitoring and service reports, including waste data, to ensure compliance with statutory reporting obligations and effective contract management.

* Attend contract and operational meetings to contribute to the overall management and continuous improvement of waste contracts in relation to the project.

* Work flexibly across the project in accordance with operational needs, ensuring that the highest standards of service delivery and consistency are achieved.

Personal Specification:

* Experience in a service delivery or customer-facing role.

* Experience recording, analysing, and reporting information accurately.

* Experience of using standard IT packages e.g., Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.

* Current UK driving license and access to own transport
