<h3><strong>Maintenance Technician</strong></h3><p>We're seeking a proactive, skilled <strong>Maintenance Technician</strong> to join our team. You'll be responsible for repairs and preventative maintenance of buildings at various locations in the UK.</p><h4><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h4><ul><li>Carry out general building maintenance, including repairs to electrical, plumbing, and cladding as needed.</li><li>Operate suitable plant equipment safely (e.g., cherry picker and/or scissor lift) - <strong>IPAF licence mandatory</strong>.</li><li>Liaise with external contractors where necessary.</li><li>Follow safe systems of work in line with CDM Regulations.</li><li>Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records.</li></ul><h4><strong>Schedule</strong></h4><ul><li>40 hours per week - rota'd shifts between Monday and Friday, 08:00 to 17:30.</li></ul><h4><strong>Essential Requirements</strong></h4><ul><li>Strong practical skills in electrical (fully qualified), plumbing, cladding, and general building; minor joinery skills would be useful.</li><li>Experience operating cherry pickers and a valid IPAF licence (training may be provided).</li><li>Full UK driving licence and ability to travel.</li><li>Based in Newport or within a 45-minute drive radius.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.</li></ul><h4><strong>Desirable Qualifications</strong></h4><ul><li>SMSTS certification.</li><li>NEBOSH health and safety qualification.</li><li>IOSH certification.</li><li>Own set of trade tools (tools can be supplied if needed).</li></ul><h4><strong>Benefits</strong></h4><ul><li>Competitive salary: <strong>£35,000-£45,000</strong> (depending on experience).</li><li>Company vehicle plus fuel allowance.</li><li>Employee discount for friends and family.</li><li>Free on-site parking.</li></ul><h4><strong>Additional Information</strong></h4><ul><li>All roles require candidates to have the legal right to work in the UK.</li><li>Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available at this time.</li></ul><p> </p><p>Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.</p>
