Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will lead a small finance team (2-3 staff) and take full responsibility for financial management, reporting, purchase ledger, and credit control functions. 17 million turn overKey Responsibilities<ul><li>Oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance department.</li><li>Manage and develop a team of 2-3 finance staff, providing leadership and support.</li><li>Full ownership of the purchase ledger, sales ledger, and credit control functions.</li><li>Produce monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and other key financial reports.</li><li>Ensure timely and accurate supplier payments and client invoicing.</li><li>Liaise with auditors, external accountants, and other stakeholders.</li><li>Maintain and improve internal financial controls and processes.</li><li>Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.</li><li>Provide financial insight and support to senior management to aid decision-making.</li></ul>Key Requirements<ul><li>Proven experience as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, or similar role.</li><li>Experience managing a small team (2-3 people).</li><li>Strong understanding of credit control and purchase ledger processes.</li><li>Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and practices.</li><li>Proficiency in accounting software ( Sage, Xero, ) and Excel.</li><li>Strong communication and leadership skills.</li><li>Industry experience in construction, engineering, or lift services is advantageous.</li></ul>What We Offer<ul><li>Competitive salary between £60,000 and £70,000 depending on experience.</li><li>Supportive team environment with the opportunity to make a real impact.</li><li>Pension scheme and additional benefits.</li><li>Long-term career progression opportunities in a stable, growing business.</li></ul>Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.
