About the Role

We are seeking a proactive Handyperson to join our team supporting Dorset Police and Fire PFI Buildings. This role involves a mix of reactive and planned maintenance tasks, grounds upkeep, and ensuring site safety and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out minor fabric repairs and proactive maintenance.
• Perform low-level PPM tasks and plumbing duties.
• Complete Legionella monthly checks.
• Maintain plant rooms and site housekeeping standards.
• Conduct daily building walk-rounds and report faults promptly.
• Support technicians and supervisors with maintenance tasks.
• Grounds maintenance: litter picking, bin emptying, gritting walkways.
• Respond to spillages and assist cleaning team when needed.
• Remove graffiti using appropriate methods.
• Manage subcontractor visits ensuring compliance with risk assessments.
• Ensure accurate administration and timely record-keeping.
• Willingness to travel and work shifts.

Qualifications & Experience

• Skills in joinery, plumbing, general building and fabric maintenance.
• Full UK driving licence.
