Technician - Community Equipment Support

Location: Reading (based at local service centre with travel across Berkshire and Surrounding Areas)

Hours: Full-time, Permanent

Driving Licence: Full UK licence required

As a Community Equipment Technician, you'll deliver, install, and maintain essential telecare and mobility equipment for those who need it most. This is a hands-on, mobile role perfect for someone who enjoys practical work, problem-solving, and being out on the road.


What You'll Do

  • Deliver and collect equipment to service users in a professional, caring manner
  • Install, repair, and replace items using the right tools and safety procedures
  • Carry out routine checks, servicing, and battery replacements
  • Respond to emergency call-outs as part of an on-call rota
  • Keep your company van clean and road-ready
  • Use handheld devices to track equipment and report issues

What We're Looking For

  • Strong communication skills and a caring attitude
  • Good DIY or technical skills - confident with tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable driving a van and navigating routes
  • Flexible, reliable, and motivated

Experience in field service or maintenance is a bonus, but not essential - full training provided!
