🚛 HGV Mechanic Required - Join a Successful, Close-Knit Family-Run Team 🚛 My client is looking for an experienced and skilled HGV Mechanic to join their thriving, family-run business. This role is ideal for someone who can take a vehicle from start to finish - building a full HGV from the ground up, including gearbox rebuilds, electrical work, and bespoke part fabrication. This is not a role for someone without hands-on, proven experience. They need someone confident, capable, and ready to add real value to a high-performing workshop. 🔧 Key Responsibilities: <ul><li>Complete full HGV builds from chassis to finish</li><li>Rebuild and install gearboxes</li><li>Work confidently from technical drawings</li><li>Manufacture and fit bespoke, custom-made parts</li><li>Carry out electrical work on HGVs</li><li>Perform welding on aluminum and steel</li><li>Maintain a safe and organised workshop environment</li></ul> ✔️ Essential Experience: <ul><li>Extensive HGV mechanical experience</li><li>Ability to rebuild gearboxes independently</li><li>Ability to read and work from technical drawings</li><li>Experience welding aluminum and steel</li><li>Experience creating or fitting custom components/parts</li><li>Strong understanding of health &amp; safety</li></ul> ✨ Desirable (Not Essential): <ul><li>Valid FLT license</li><li>Additional electrical diagnostics experience</li></ul> 🕒 Hours &amp; Benefits: <ul><li>Monday to Friday, 9am-4pm</li><li>One week off every 12 weeks</li><li>Christmas shutdown</li><li>£13.00 per hour</li><li>Join a warm, supportive, successful family-run business</li></ul> Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.
