Blue Arrow are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Chargehand for one of our clients based in Glasgow Hillington area. This is permanent position in great company for the right candidate. Working days/Hours:<ul><li>Monday to Thursday, 7.45am to 4.15pm, Friday 7.45am to 3.15pm (39h per week)</li></ul> Salary:<ul><li>£35000pa</li></ul> Duties:<ul><li>Supervise and support a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring productivity and adherence to safety protocols.</li><li>Ensure the safe, efficient and accurate handling of incoming goods, storage, and dispatch services</li><li>Ensure all staff adhere to established processes and procedures and that health and safety standards are maintained and continuously improved</li><li>Implement and maintain written procedures for goods receipt, returns, stock control, and consolidation.</li><li>Conduct routine safety inspections on facilities and equipment, also ensure compliance with company health and safety policies.</li><li>Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and identify training needs.</li><li>Collaborate with other departments to maintain effective working relationships.</li><li>Assist in managing non-conforming materials and returns and make recommendations for process improvements.</li><li>Maintain high standards of housekeeping and general warehouse organisation.</li></ul> Skills &amp; Experience:<ul><li>Previous experience in a general warehousing role, with supervisory responsibilities.</li><li>Strong understanding of health and safety practices (IOSH operating/managing safety certificates desirable).</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and good hand/eye coordination.</li><li>Experience with warehouse management systems is an advantage.</li><li>Valid Reach and Counterbalance FLT Licence. The role will involve loading/unloading within the warehouse area. Suitable candidates must have previous reach forklift experience and must have a valid license. Only UK licenses can be accepted and must not be in house. You would be using a handheld scanner delivering pharmaceuticals to pharmacy's/Hospital or prisons. This can either be local runs or long distance Dayshift shifts starting roughly between 0600 - 0700 lasting on average around 9hrs.
