A dynamic bistro pub located in the heart of Didcot, Oxfordshire, is currently seeking a passionate and skilled Chef de Partie or Sous Chef to join its talented kitchen brigade. Salary: £28,000 - £34,000 per annum (commensurate with experience)
Live-In Accommodation: Available at just £75/week

Role Overview:
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality dishes that reflect the pub's bistro-style menu. Working closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team, they will contribute to smooth service, uphold consistent standards, and offer creative input into seasonal specials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook dishes to a high standard across all sections
- Assist in the development of menus and daily specials
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
- Ensure full compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Support junior team members and foster a positive kitchen culture
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, dependable, and bring energy and creativity to the kitchen.
Essential Qualifications & Attributes:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Sous Chef
- Strong grasp of modern British and bistro-style cuisine
- Excellent knife skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple tasks
- Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset
- Food hygiene certification (Level 2 or higher preferred)
