We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Caretaker to join our clients Premises Team on a Temporary 3 month booking. Candidates will need to have a clear Enhanced DBS, or be willing to pay and complete one. Reporting to the Premises Manager and supporting the Bursar, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, upkeep, and presentation of the school buildings and grounds. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards. <h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Ensure the school site is safe, secure, and well-maintained at all times</li><li>Conduct regular inspections and report health &amp; safety or maintenance issues</li><li>Carry out light DIY tasks, including decorating and minor repairs</li><li>Support the setup and cleaning of the school hall for various uses</li><li>Undertake cleaning duties, including periodic deep cleans</li><li>Assist with furniture and equipment moves, deliveries, and porterage</li><li>Act as a key holder and respond to emergency call-outs</li><li>Liaise with external users and support school events and lettings</li><li>Operate and maintain premises equipment</li><li>Act as a Fire Marshall and support parking supervision when required</li></ul><h3>Person Specification</h3><ul><li>Awareness of health &amp; safety, security, and maintenance procedures</li><li>Ability to work effectively with staff, parents, and external visitors</li><li>High standards of attendance, punctuality, appearance, and conduct</li><li>Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends</li></ul><h3>How to Apply</h3>Please submit your CV, Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so early submission is encouraged.Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.
