Chef De Partie - fixed term contract£29,000-£32,000Year-round employmentResponsibilities* Manage food standards and quality across all stages of food preparation, cooking and service, ensuring our high company standards are consistently met* Manage the smooth running of your section before, during and after service* Have a complete understanding of all menus within your area of responsibility, ensuring that all recipes are followed accurately, portion control is adhered to and that presentation.* Work alongside the Head Chef and team to create and develop daily specials, presenting ideas for new dishes on a regular basis, along with recipes and specification for each dish* Assist in the training and development of junior chefs* Ensure stock rotation carried out correctly and wastage recorded* Adhere to HACCP/COSHH standards* Maintain high levels of CLEANLILNESS at all times.* Participate in any training and personnel exercises designed to improve standards and performance* Wear clean, suitable uniform at all times and ensure a high level of personal hygiene &amp; grooming* Observe all requirements under Health &amp; Safety regulationsRequirementsyear experience and service in a busy restaurant* Excellent attention to detail* Excellent coordination skills* Ability to work well as part of a team* Must be available to work at weekends, and Bank Holidays40 -45 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7, on a shift pattern.Salary depends on experience and after 3 months' probationMust be available to interview in person.Job Type: Full-time£29-32k per year, depending on experienceExpected hours: No less than 40 per weekBenefits:* On-site parking Flexible schedule* Opportunity for additional hours* Staff discount within the Restaurant and shop* Opportunity for progression* Pension scheme* On site parking* Internal training* Uniform provided* NO EVENINGSBlue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.
