Goods In Operative with Reach & Counterbalance FLT

Blue Arrow are recruiting for a Goods In Operative with a Reach and Counterbalance FLT license.

🔍 Job Purpose

To ensure the efficient and accurate receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming goods and materials. The Goods In Operative plays a vital role in maintaining stock integrity and supporting smooth warehouse operations.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

* Receive and unload deliveries, checking goods against delivery notes and purchase orders

* Inspect incoming items for damage, quantity discrepancies, or quality issues

* Accurately record goods received using warehouse management systems (WMS)

* Label and store items in designated warehouse locations

* Liaise with procurement and quality control teams regarding any delivery issues

* Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the goods-in area

* Operate forklifts, pallet trucks, or other handling equipment (if trained)

* Assist with stock counts and inventory audits as required

* Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies

🧰 Skills & Experience

* Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (preferred)

* Familiarity with goods-in processes and stock control systems

* Basic IT skills for data entry and inventory systems

* Forklift license - Reach & Counterbalance

* Good attention to detail and accuracy

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Physically fit and able to lift/move heavy items safely

The hours of work will be Monday to Thursday 8.15am - 6pm & Friday 8.00am - 4pm.

The pay rate will be £13.16 per hour

Temporary to Permanent after 13 weeks
