Sorting Operative / FLT Driver

Blue Arrow are recruiting for a Sorter / Counterbalance FLT Driver for a large recycling company based in Doncaster.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

* Sort recyclable materials (paper & wood) on a conveyor or in designated areas

* Identify and remove non-recyclable or hazardous items from the sorting line

* Operate a forklift truck (counterbalance) to move bales, bins, or pallets

* Load/unload materials from vehicles and place them in appropriate storage or processing areas

* Maintain cleanliness and safety in the sorting area

* Follow site-specific recycling procedures and health & safety protocols

* Report equipment faults or contamination issues to supervisors

🧰 Requirements:

* Valid FLT licence (counterbalance)

* Previous experience in a recycling, warehouse, or waste management environment preferred

* Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced, manual handling role

* Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions (indoor/outdoor, noisy, dusty)

* Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

* Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious

✅ Desirable:

* Knowledge of waste streams and recycling processes

* Basic mechanical knowledge or experience with balers/compactors

* COSHH or manual handling training

The hours of work will be: Monday - Friday 08:00-16:30

The pay rate for this role is £12.43 per hour
