About the Role

Are you an experienced chef who enjoys cooking for large groups and crafting seasonal menus from fresh ingredients?

Looking for a role with no split shifts or late nights?

This is a fantastic opportunity to take full ownership of menu development in a care home environment, preparing nutritious, high-quality meals that residents genuinely enjoy. You'll lead a small kitchen team and ensure top standards of hygiene, safety, and nutrition.

Occasional catering for community activities may be required, and weekend shifts are part of the schedule.

Nutrition plays a vital role in the wellbeing of residents, and you'll be involved in tailoring meals to individual dietary needs and preferences. Building relationships with residents and their families helps ensure a personal and enjoyable dining experience.

You'll be joining a supportive team that values warmth, kindness, and quality care.

This role is part of a not-for-profit organisation that reinvests in its people and services. Benefits include:

  • 30 days holiday (including Bank Holidays)
  • Company pension
  • Free uniform and DBS check
  • Enhanced weekend pay
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Refer-a-Friend scheme (up to £1000)
  • Discounts through Blue Light Card and "My Rewards" programme

About You

  • Experience in a professional kitchen, catering for large groups
  • Understanding of specialist diets and menu planning
  • Ideally working toward or holding a Level 3 Diploma in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership (or equivalent)
  • Strong leadership and team motivation skills
  • Confident engaging with elderly residents to understand their needs
  • Budget and stock management experience

If you're ready to bring your culinary skills to a meaningful setting, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today and start your next chapter in care-focused catering.
