PVG catering assistant

🍽️ Job Opportunity: School Catering Assistant (PVG Required)

Location: Edinburgh

Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM - 14:00 PM

Start Date: Monday 27th October

Contract Type: 2 months with possibility of being kept on

We're looking for a friendly, reliable Catering Assistant to join our school kitchen team. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in helping children enjoy nutritious meals, we'd love to hear from you!

🧤 Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with food preparation and serving
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas
• Wash dishes and kitchen equipment
• Follow food safety procedures and school policies
• Support the catering team with daily tasks

✅ Requirements:

• PVG membership is essential
• Previous catering or kitchen experience preferred but not required
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively
• A positive attitude and commitment to child safety and wellbeing
