Job Title:Linehaul Courier Driver (Van) Role Overview: The Linehaul Van Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of goods between distribution centres, warehouses, and customer locations. This role requires a focus on safety, adherence to regulations, and exceptional time management skills to meet delivery schedules. Pay Rate: Day rate (0800 - 1900) £14.25 Night rate (1900-0800) £16.96 Overtime rate (over 45 hours) £21.38 Key Responsibilities: * Operate a van or light commercial vehicle to transport goods along designated linehaul routes. * Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items to prevent damage. * Maintain accurate delivery logs and records using company systems and tools. * Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness. * Communicate effectively with dispatchers and report any delays, incidents, or mechanical issues promptly. * Provide excellent customer service when interacting with all customers (Internal/External) * Assist with route planning to optimize efficiency and meet delivery deadlines. Key Skills and Qualifications: * Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. * Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably in a linehaul or logistics setting. * Familiarity with GPS and routing technology. * Strong organizational and time management skills. * Ability to lift and handle packages safely - Manual handling Skills * Knowledge of transportation safety standards and regulations. * Effective communication and problem-solving skills. Work Environment: * Driving for extended periods across various road and weather conditions. * Regular interaction with warehouse staff * Split Shifts / Night work - 17:30-21:40 and 05:20-09:40 Overnight stop outs. Linehaul Courier Driver

Arborist needed!! * Salary: £14.82 per hour * Location: Parsons Depot, NE37 * Hours: Monday - Friday 7.30am - 3.30pm37 hours per week Call out is on a rota basis and is for 1 week, starts Monday 07:30 to the following Monday. Requirements: * Full UK driving licence (with C1 E desirable) * Relevant NPTC / LANTRA Certificates in Chainsaw Operation, Climbing &amp; Aerial Rescue, Chainsaw from a rope and harness, chainsaw from a MEWP and Tree Felling. Key Responsibilities * Undertake all aspects of arboricultural work, including tree pruning, felling. * Operate chainsaws, wood chippers, MEWPs (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms), and other specialist machinery safely and efficiently. * Carry out aerial tree work using rope and harness in compliance with industry standards. * Ensure safe working practices at all times, protecting colleagues, the public, and property. * Provide advice and information to members of the public when required in a courteous and professional manner. * Participate in emergency call-out and storm response duties as part of the arboriculture service team. * Undertake routine maintenance and checks of vehicles, tools, and equipment. * Keep accurate records of works undertaken in line with Council procedures.
