Job Overview
As Chef Manager, you'll take charge of the kitchen operation, combining hands-on cooking with leadership and strategic oversight. You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality meals, managing the catering team, and ensuring compliance-all while creating a positive and professional kitchen culture.
In this role, you'll:
Lead the preparation and service of fresh, nutritious meals with creativity and flair
Manage kitchen operations including stock control, ordering, and cost efficiency
Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, and allergen regulations
Motivate and develop your team, acting as a role model and brand ambassador
Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain high standards and customer satisfaction
🧠 What You'll Need:
Strong experience in catering or kitchen management, ideally within education or contract catering
Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively
A Food Safety Level 2 certificate (training available if needed)
Excellent knowledge of kitchen equipment, food safety, and operational best practices
A friendly, proactive attitude with a passion for delivering great food and service
