Technical Officer

Technical Officer needed!!

* Salary: £16.39 per hour
* Location: Exeter, EX39
* Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
* Till December 2025 with the possibility of extension

The Technical Officer role is responsible for providing technical expertise and support to ensure the effective operation, maintenance, and improvement of buildings, systems, and infrastructure. The role focuses on delivering safe, compliant, and efficient facilities by coordinating maintenance activities, overseeing contractors, and supporting refurbishment or upgrade projects.

Candidate will need to be local and access to their own vehicle to attend site visits.
DBS required.

Key responsibilities include:
* Monitoring and maintaining building services, equipment, and infrastructure.
* Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
* Coordinating and supervising contractors and service providers.
* Maintaining accurate records of assets, maintenance, and performance.
* Supporting facilities projects and contributing technical advice to planning and delivery.

You will need a strong technical knowledge of building systems, understanding of health & safety and develop external relationships with contractors and suppliers.

This role is crucial in ensuring that facilities remain safe, reliable, and fit for purpose, supporting both the day-to-day operations and the long-term strategic goals of the organisation.
