Job Description: Field Service Engineer
Location: Service Centre Department: Technical Service Reports to: Service Centre Manager

Role Summary
As a Field Service Engineer, you'll be responsible for servicing, repairing, installing, and collecting medical equipment from various manufacturers. You'll ensure high standards of work, maintain infection control protocols, and provide exceptional service across homes, care facilities, and service centres.

Key Responsibilities
Perform repairs and servicing on a wide range of medical equipment

Install, collect, and exchange equipment at designated locations

Maintain high standards of workmanship and professionalism

Travel between sites (overnight stays may be required)

Adhere to infection control, health and safety, and company procedures

Manage stock levels and maintain company vehicle and tools

Complete and submit accurate documentation within required timeframes

Participate in the on-call rota as scheduled

Communicate effectively with colleagues and internal teams

Handle sensitive situations with empathy and discretion

Knowledge and Experience
Training will be provided, but familiarity with the following is advantageous:

Profiling beds (2, 3, 4 section), bariatric beds, birthing beds

Dynamic mattresses, treatment couches, patient trolleys

Shower chairs, recliners, manual wheelchairs

Mobile and ceiling track hoists, stair lifts, high-low baths

LOLER regulations and testing, sling inspections

Infection control and environmental awareness

Service administration (timesheets, job sheets, etc.)

Desirable Qualifications
PAT Testing

First Aid Certification

Fire Warden Training
