Meetings & Events Office Manager £33,280p/a Brockenhurst, leading and supporting the sales, organisation, and delivery of meetings, groups, private dining, and weddings.

Working alongside a part-time Weddings & Events Manager, Office Co-ordinators, and in due course a newly appointed Director of Sales, you will ensure meetings, events, and corporate enquiries are converted into confirmed business, and that operational teams are primed and ready to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll contribute to the commercial success of the property, collaborating with hotel managers and department heads.

Our 4-star hotel features access from Brockenhurst, numerous restaurants and features spa services.

You'll need excellent attention to detail, strong time management, and organisational skills, along with prior experience managing and influencing teams. Opera experience is desirable.

Role Details:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week over 5 days (typically Monday to Friday)
  • Occasional evenings/weekends for special events or holiday cover
  • Reporting to the General Manager & Director

Main Responsibilities:

  • Log and update conference/event enquiries on Opera
  • Communicate booking changes to relevant departments
  • Sell, coordinate, and implement meetings, events, and corporate bookings
  • Handle sales calls and negotiate rates to maximise conversion
  • Collaborate with external partners to develop business
  • Produce accurate weekly function sheets
  • Manage financial aspects of events in line with payment terms
  • Work proactively to achieve financial targets

Essential Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in Food & Beverage/Wedding & Events
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong organisational and planning abilities
  • Ability to influence and uphold standards across the hotel
  • Comfortable working independently and in a team
  • Skilled at multitasking and meeting deadlines with attention to detail
  • Eager to learn and grow
  • Flexible and calm under pressure
