School Facilities Administrator to work for an academy trust in Birmingham. This role will be covering maternity leave for 8-9 months. This role will mainly be supporting the facilities department as an estates and facilities coordinator.
Main duties in a school administrator role:
- Administration duties - answering phone calls, taking calls regarding staff absences, monitoring emails, filling and faxing paperwork, updating records and documents
- Assist with the day to day operations and maintenance of the schools within the trust
- Assist with Health and safety duties and advice, carry out assessments, undertaking and advising on risk assessments.
- Overseeing compliance schedule for the facilities department to ensure jobs are completed to time, liaising with contractors to ensure timescales are adhered to and procedures are followed, coordinating these with the Facilities Manager and the Maintenance Teams
- Ensuring that all HSE policies and procedures are up to date, are in place and are displayed within the relevant areas
- Managing staff absences, informing correct supervisor and arranging alternative support
Requirements:
- Must be able to work Monday to Friday, 8.30am-4.30pm
- Competent in all Microsoft packages, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Previous administrator experience in a school - ideally 2 years
- Holds an ENHANCED Child DBS in date within the last 12 months, or an ENHANCED DBS on the update service.
- Must have safeguarding training - BlueArrow can provide this if required
Hours: Monday-Friday 8.30am-4.30pm
Pay: £13 per hour
