Experienced Nursery Practitioner / Room Lead - Brixton £13.50 to £14.50 Full time or Part time

💷 Pay: £13.50 - £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)

We are looking for a dedicated, passionate and experienced Room Lead / Nursery Practitioner to join our nurturing and dynamic team at our vibrant Brixton nursery. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a leadership role and is committed to delivering high-quality early years education. Open to Full time 5 days per week or part time 3/4 days

🌟 What You'll Be Doing

As a Room Lead, you will:

Oversee and support the daily running of a designated room

Lead and mentor your team to deliver exceptional care and learning

Ensure the safeguarding and well-being of all children

Plan, implement, and evaluate a rich and stimulating curriculum in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

Maintain accurate records, observations, and assessments for children's learning journeys (including Tapestry)

Collaborate with families, carers, and external professionals

Support and contribute to Ofsted inspections and quality improvement plans

🧩 What We're Looking For

Level 3 or above in Early Years Education or Childcare (essential)

Previous experience in a Room Leader or Senior Practitioner role

Strong knowledge of the EYFS, Ofsted standards, and safeguarding practices

Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills

A warm, enthusiastic, and professional attitude

Confident using digital tools like Tapestry and tracking children's development

A commitment to inclusive, child-centred practice
