Location: Stornoway, Isle of Lewis

Contract Type: Full Time Hours on a temporary ongoing contract.

Salary: £13.37/hour

Reporting to: Depot Manager / Logistics Supervisor

Job Overview:
We are seeking reliable and physically fit Van Drivers to join our client's logistics team operating across multiple depots in the Stornoway, Isle of Lewis.

This role combines driving duties with significant walking responsibilities, ideal for individuals who enjoy being active and working independently in scenic and rural environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate a company van to deliver and collect parcels, packages, or goods across designated routes.

Perform walking deliveries in areas where vehicle access is limited or impractical.

Ensure timely and accurate delivery to residential and commercial addresses.

Load and unload the van efficiently, ensuring goods are handled with care.

Use handheld devices or paperwork to record deliveries and obtain signatures.

Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle.

Follow all road safety and company compliance procedures.

Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally.

Requirements:
Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.

Good level of physical fitness - able to walk long distances and lift parcels.

Previous experience in delivery driving or courier services is desirable.

Familiarity with the geography of the Scottish Highlands is an advantage.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Willingness to work in varying weather conditions.
