Human Resources (HR) Manager
Part-Time | 21 hours per week Location: Edinburgh Salary: £43,000 - £48,000 (pro rata, depending on experience)**
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Human Resources Manager to lead and deliver a high-quality HR service across the organisation. This role is central to shaping the people strategy and supporting a culture of inclusion, empowerment, and continuous improvement.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, the HR Manager will provide expert guidance on employment matters, manage recruitment and employee relations, and ensure consistent and legally compliant HR practices. The role also includes line management of administrative support staff.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be:
A CIPD member (or equivalent) with proven experience in HR management
Skilled in handling complex employment issues and driving cultural change
Comfortable with both strategic planning and hands-on HR responsibilities
An effective communicator with strong influencing and planning skills
Experienced in supporting senior leaders and developing junior staff
Key capabilities include:
Delivering training on HR policies and management practices
Advising on legally compliant, practical solutions
Facilitating conflict resolution and difficult conversations
Supporting organisational change and embedding inclusive values
