Are you an organised and proactive administrator looking to support meaningful transport improvements across the Highlands? Join our client's Sustainable Transport team as a Project Support Administrator for the Bus Infrastructure Fund.
About the Role.
You'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of multiple transport infrastructure projects funded by Transport Scotland. Working closely with the Project Manager and wider team, you'll ensure smooth coordination, accurate reporting, and effective stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain project documentation and records in line with council and funding requirements
Schedule meetings, site visits, and stakeholder engagements; prepare agendas and minutes
Assist with progress reports, financial summaries, and performance tracking
Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and community representatives
Support procurement processes and monitor budgets and claims
Ensure compliance with policies, funding conditions, and statutory requirements
What We're Looking For
Essential:
HNC/HND qualification or equivalent experience
Proven experience in project support or administration
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Desirable:
Knowledge of transport infrastructure or public sector projects
Familiarity with Transport Scotland funding processes
Experience working with local authorities or public sector bodies
Working Relationships
You'll collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders including:
Highland Council Bus Infrastructure Fund team
Public Transport and Project Design Unit colleagues
Transport Scotland and HITRANS representatives
BSIP Steering Group members
External contractors and consultants
