Transport Dispatcher

Ongoing temp role with the possability of becoming permanent

Transport Dispatacher

Working hours: 15:00 - 23:00 (30min break)
Shift pattern: Monday to Friday

While training, the working hours will be 9am - 5pm

**Please note that the client requires flexibility as they are a small team and would need all team members to be flexible to cover different hours for holidays/sickness etc**

What they will be doing:
* Preparing driver schedules and routes
* Coordinating drivers helping to achieve customer and operational goals in the most efficient way
* Monitoring the daily schedules and routes, updating systems with accurate information. Updating Stations and Management of any delays or problems.
* Providing support to the driver and assisting them with issues resolution. (For Example Breakdowns, Customer problems, Diversions)
* Contacting customers and sales team when needed to obtain additional information or advise on potential service-related issues
* Proactively reporting any issues that occurred during shift to the management and compiling reports where required.
* Working Closely with the management team to ensure briefings and training documents and driver files are up to date and accurate.
* Working on internal systems ensuring details are accurate and updated accordingly.
* General Admin duties.

**Please note full training will be provided**

What we are looking for if possible:
* Experience in in a busy transport and / or dispatch environment is an advantage
* Good Microsoft Office & PC skills
* Good geographical knowledge
* Focused on accuracy and attention to detail
* Driven to solve problems while using planning and organising skills
* Able to communicate and keep calm
