Blue Arrow are looking for a stores operative rover in the Birmingham area.
Requirements:
- Must have clean driving license
- Must be able to pass a basic DBS disclosure
- Must be able to work Monday to Friday ()7:30 - 15:30)
- Potential overtime needed
Key Purpose of role:
- To provide logistics support and asset management to BT Operational Field Teams from a network of BT Supply Chain (BTSC) Forward Stock Locations (FSL).
- Must be able to drive long distances as a Stores Rover within Midlands
- A good understanding of Excel Systems and complex spread sheets
- To maintain the highest possible levels of logistical support making sure stock levels are accurate and in line with customer requirements.
- Sort, receipt and put to stock over the counter replenishment stores and report any discrepancies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide over-the-counter service: issue and book out stock items to customers.
- Pick, pack, and dispatch a wide range of items, requiring good dexterity and attention to detail
- Receive and process customer orders delivered directly to the Forward Stock Location (FSL).
- Complete all stock receipting and transfers accurately.
- Perform daily checks inside and outside the FSL for stock, deliveries, and site conditions.
- Manage 1-to-1 replacements of Openreach test equipment via SCORE and handle warranty returns to the ES Triage Centre.
- Arrange returns for uncollected customer orders after 14 days and raise eReturns as needed.
- Monitor deliveries and notify transport contacts of any delays.
- Maintain card-controlled stock and pick items for engineer or courier collection at Managed Kit Rooms (MKR), where co-located.
- Conduct regular stock checks at MKRs and on over-the-counter items.
- Manually move cable drums; arrange collection of empty drums.
- Carry out weekly site inspections and report any concerns.
- Ensure safe delivery and collection procedures, including proper cordoning.
- Store stock in line with Health & Safety standards.
- Safely lift items up to 15kg from floor or chest-height shelving.
- Support environmental compliance by managing skips and cages responsibly.
- Liaise with BT Property and Security teams to report any site issues.
