Blue Arrow are currently recruiting for van driving postal workers based out of Bridgwater. Driving licence essential for this position. Location: Bridgwater Start Date: Immediately Hourly Rate: £13.37 per hour About the role You'll start your day in the local delivery office, sorting the mail for your route, before taking out your van to complete your round. You'll be given a hand-held computer device to capture customer signatures for deliveries. The hand-held computer will also act as your routing system putting your round in the most economical route, telling you which house to go to next. You will be self-motivated, you'll also be as happy working alone as well as working as part of a team and getting to know the different people on your round. You'll have a strong sense of community and the idea of doing a job that involves flexible working patterns will appeal to you. We deliver parcels come rain or shine, so we're looking for people who like being outdoors whatever the weather, you'll also be someone who likes the idea of doing a job that will help you keep fit. Blue Arrow Bristol are looking for Class 1 Drivers for ad hoc work (mostly holiday and sickness cover) to work for our well-established client based in Highbridge (TA9). We are looking for drivers for both days and nights. The roles will involve driving fridge box trailers and completing up to 5 trailer swaps at various different sites per shift. No handballing will be involved as all the loading and unloading will be done for you. The client operates 24/7 and there is plenty of weekend work so if you wanted to pick up an extra shift and get some extra income in case you are working elsewhere full-time, this is a great opportunity. Please note that the client is happy to accept newly qualified drivers with very little or no experience. The pay rates for days is £17.00 per hour, nights are paid at £18.50 per hour.
