Blue Arrow is urgently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative with FLT Experience to join our clients manufacturing site based in the Pontyclun area.
Contract: Initially a 3 Month Contract/ potentially longer
Salary: £13.03ph
Hours: DAYS Mon-Fri 8am-4pm / 37.5 hour paid weeks
Key Responsibilities:
* Receiving and inspecting incoming goods, verifying against shipping documents, and identifying any damages or discrepancies
* Properly storing items in designated areas, ensuring efficient space utilization and accessibility
* Picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Transporting materials between warehouse and manufacturing using Ecolab vehicles (LWB Transit)
* Maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting cycle counts, and assisting with stocktakes
* Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move and store materials
* Adhering to safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and reporting any hazards or malfunctions
* Collaborating with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations and effective communication
Skills/ Experience required:
* Previous Warehouse experience, ideally from a manufacturing background
* FLT Experience: Strong counterbalance experience is essential/ Ideally you will have a valid licence, but training onsite can be given if not. Ideally you will also have pivot truck experience, but this is not essential.
* MUST be over 25yrs and have a clean driving licence as you will be required to drive company vehicle to and from local sites on occasions
* Have the ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
* Attention to Detail: Accuracy in receiving, storing, and shipping products is essential
* Organisational Skills: Maintaining an organised and efficient workspace
* Problem-Solving Skills: Troubleshooting issues related to inventory, equipment, or order fulfilment.
* Computer Skills: Basic computer skills for operating warehouse management systems and tracking inventory
