This an exciting opportunity to join an Internationally recognised Manufacturer in the Nutritional Supplement Industry. Contract: Permanent Salary Basic: Line Setter 1: £26,748.72 / Line Setter 2: £28,703.88 pa (PLUS shift allowance) Hours of work: Full time, two shifts, Monday to Friday. Rotating between Mornings 6am - 2pm and Afternoons 2pm - 10pm. Role Summary: The successful candidate will have at least 2 years experience in the Food or Pharmaceutical industry. Must be target driven, have drive and ambition, and will be required to work within a Cleanroom environment achieving work standards that meet with GMP, 5s, Quality and Health and Safety Role Responsibilities: Set up/assemble production machines, including change overs. Awareness of product quality requirements, highlight any concerns or issues, challenge product standards. Understand the basic operational processes within your working area, highlight any Quality or Safety concerns. Understand and adhere to Quality and Safety regulations through SOP i.e. HACCP, Pics, manual handling and general awareness of safety. Be able to run/trained in a number of machines in the area (whole line equipment or 2/3 machines ZB/ZC Checking process on the line, as per training. Checking line clearance is in place. Cleaning parts of the machine &amp; area to standard required in a clean room &amp; SOP. Following GMP as per training. Following Cleaning &amp; Hygiene procedures as per training. Be able to pre-form checks &amp; sign in to batch records. Complete batch records/works orders &amp; if required fill in figures on plans. Supporting staff development by coaching and guiding other team members, highlighting and training gaps within the team and covering for the Zone Leader in their absence. Enforce best practice and compliance within the team, make suggestions to improve quality, safety and efficiency whilst highlighting any concerns. Contract: Permanent Salary: £31,471 pa Including Shift Allowance Holiday Allowance: 33 days per annum (25+8) Hours of work: Full time, two shifts, Monday to Friday. Rotating between Mornings 6am - 2pm and Afternoons 2pm - 10pm (please note that on rare occasions, you may be asked to work a night shift) Role Responsibilities: Health &amp; Safety: Overall Management responsibilities for Health &amp; Safety in their designated areas Ensure operators are working in a risk free environment, wearing the correct PPE and are compliant in company H &amp; S requirements Review risk assessments &amp; SOP's to ensure they are up to date, user friendly and contain the correct information/ settings Report &amp; investigate incidents / accidents and follow up with a full report within 24hrs Quality/ Technical: Actively promote a "right first time" environment Ensure food safety is followed in the production of products Ensure area standards are set and maintained Ensure Quality samples represent against the final production requirement with sign off and double sign off from another team member Assist in NC/CAPA investigations as required Ensure that all paperwork is correctly filled out in a timely manner &amp; audit to ensure right first time Own responsibility of line clearance for manufacturing/packaging as per SOP372 Staff development: Coaching staff and development of teams and to review progress Identify training needed for self and team Continuous improvement: Support and guide team to ensure improvements are delivered Identify potential areas of improvement by reviewing the top 3 trends weekly with SM and identifying an action plan to improve Effectively measure changeovers to identify improvements (Circa 20%) Improve productivity trends by 10% Behaviours: Lead by example Ensures the correct procedures are followed to set up, operate and clean down machines to ensure efficient running of machines and minimal downtime Manage team members to ensure the greatest output and efficiency is achieved Ensure full adherence to 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) practices at all times. Our client is a global manufacturing leader in their industry and is offering great progression opportunities to grow with the company. Rate of pay: £16.81ph including 30% shift allowance. (overtime available at higher rates) Hours of work: Full time: 12 hour shifts 6.30-6.30 with a mixture of days and nights: 4 weekly rotating shifts: 2 Days on, 2 off, 3 nights on, 2 off , 2 Days on, 3 off, 2 nights on, 2 off, 3 days on, 2 off, 2 nights on, 3 off and then this rotates and the pattern starts again. Hours work out at an average of 42 hours per week over a 4 week period. Contract: Temp to Perm after 12 weeks providing candidate meets performance and job spec criteria below.
