Job Title: School Kitchen Assistant
Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
Contract Type: Part-Time / Term-Time Only
Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:30am - 2:00pm (term time only)

About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly catering team at a local school in Northampton. You'll play a vital role in helping to prepare and serve nutritious meals to students, ensuring a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with basic food preparation and cooking
Serve meals to students and staff in a polite and efficient manner
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, dining areas, and equipment
Follow food hygiene and health & safety regulations
Support the cook and wider catering team as needed

About You:

Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is desirable but not essential
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
A valid Food Hygiene Certificate is an advantage (training can be provided)
