Chef - £15.75/hr | Contract Catering | Yeovil | Work-Life Balance

Location: Yeovil
Salary: £15.75 per hour + paid overtime
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Any 5 out of 7 days

  • Shifts: 6:00am-2:00pm or 11:00am-7:00pm
  • Shift Types: Mix of early, late, and occasional long days
  • Weekends: 1 in 3 weekends (moving to 1 in 5 when fully staffed)

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present food to agreed standards.
  • Assist with stock control, ordering, and budget management.
  • Maintain up-to-date product and menu knowledge.
  • Ensure portion control and consistent food quality.
  • Comply with all health & safety and food safety regulations.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Chef in a professional kitchen.
  • NVQ or City & Guilds Chef qualifications.
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced environment.
