About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Meetings & Events Sales Manager to join their team at a pivotal time in the business. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in sales and event management, particularly within the hospitality sector.
We welcome applications from candidates who meet one of the following profiles:
- Individuals with proven M&E or hotel-related sales experience, even if they are currently working outside the sector and seeking to return.
- Professionals who have worked as a second-in-command to an M&E Sales Office Manager, with 2-3 years of relevant experience and are ready to take the next step.
- Candidates from adjacent industries with transferable skills in sales, client management, and event coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Meetings & Events sales function, ensuring operational efficiency and high performance.
- Support, coach, and develop the sales team to meet and exceed revenue and conversion targets.
- Handle incoming enquiries and proactively convert them into confirmed bookings.
- Oversee the planning and execution of meetings, conferences, weddings, and other events, ensuring exceptional delivery.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the event lifecycle.
- Collaborate with internal departments including operations, food & beverage, and marketing to ensure seamless event execution.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform pricing strategies and promotional initiatives.
- Utilise Opera Sales and/or Delphi systems for booking management, reporting, and client communications.
- Demonstrate strong communication, organisational, and IT skills.
- Exhibit leadership qualities with a professional and approachable demeanour.

Work Schedule
