About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to join our dynamic catering team at a leading university in Canterbury. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant, diverse environment where your culinary skills will help shape the student and staff dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of high-quality meals for students, staff, and guests across campus dining outlets.
  • Support menu planning with a focus on nutrition, sustainability, and dietary inclusivity.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and kitchen cleanliness in line with health regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and catering team to deliver exceptional service during term time and university events.
  • Contribute to a positive kitchen culture that values teamwork, creativity, and continuous improvement.

About You:

  • Proven experience as a Chef in a high-volume or institutional catering environment.
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Professional Cookery (Level 3 desirable).
  • Strong understanding of food safety and allergen management.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • A flexible, proactive attitude and a genuine passion for food.
