Permanent vacancy - Contracts Manager / Project Manager (Civils/Road/Grounds work) Hours: Monday to Friday 08.30 to 17.00 Salary: £35,000 - £55,000 DOE Location - Kirkintilloch Our client based in Kirkintilloch is looking for a Contracts Manager / Project Manager with a Civils or road/Grounds work background to join their busy team. Key Responsibilities: * Managing, motivating and communicating to site teams on multiple projects * Cost control of projects, minimising costs and maximising production * Liaising with Estimating and Surveying Departments to ensure commercial viability of projects * Taking an active role in Chain Management Initiative to ensure relationships are developed with subcontractors * Ensuring compliance with health &amp; safety requirements * You will be able to combine strong commercial acumen with well-developed interpersonal, problem-solving, communication and negotiation skills with demonstrable experience delivering large projects/programmes of work * The Contract Manager will support the Project Manager and Procurement &amp; Commercial Manager to deliver strategies and contracts, providing robust post contract commercial management which will support the project goals and objectives * The Contract Manager will also support the delivery of departmental KPIs and objectives such as savings in total cost of ownership, value engineering and safety performance * You will have primary responsibility for all delivery aspects of the project, ensuring a scheduled programme of work is delivered on time and in a safe and compliant manner.
