Property maintenance officer needed!!
* Salary: £13.26 per hour
* Location: Devon, TQ13
* Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm
* Till October 2025 with the possibility of extension
The candidate will be based at station yard depot
Main Purpose of the Post:
To undertake caretaking, property, maintenance and security duties across Authority owned or leased properties and estate.
To support the development of property maintenance plans and carry out repairs, maintenance and minor improvements to DNPA property and associated fixtures and fittings.
To assist and support the Head of Service in the day-to-day operation of the Conservation Works Service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. To work safely, ensuring all safety procedures and other controls identified by risk assessment are complied with and incidents reported promptly and appropriately.
2. To maintain and review necessary records relating to Health & Safety regulations, e.g. COSHH, PUWER, Fire, Asbestos, water hygiene, Radon and all relevant risk assessments. Ensure the teams' first aid provision is maintained.
3. In conjunction with the Head of Service carry out regular inspections of property and sites and develop property maintenance plans.
4. Manage and carry out Portable Appliance Testing and Radon monitoring.
5. To write specifications for works, obtain quotations in accordance with procurement procedures, and place orders for goods and services. Maintain records related to goods and services received.
6. To ensure up to date records for the maintenance of plant and machinery.
7. To carry out inspections and maintain all records relating to car parks on the moor and support maintenance of infrastructure (e.g. data counters; donation boxes and ticket machines. Develop forward plans for future maintenance.
Essential :
A full driving licence is required the successful candidate will be provided with a works vehicle.
