Care Home Cook in Nottinghamshire

If you have an excellent knowledge of allergens and nutrition, and are
able to follow advice and medical direction for each patients' needs then we want to hear from you. As the Chef, you'll be assisting the management to ensure that all of our clients and patients enjoy every meal, while sticking to their care and nutrition plans. You'll have great organisational skills to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and is kept well-stocked and ready for service each.
Key Responsibilities
* To cook a balanced, nutritious diet within a controlled hygienic environment keeping in mind the needs of the elderly residents.
* To control systems of food allocation to minimise wastage.
* To operate and supervise other staff in order that all purchases are controlled within a specified budget.
* To control stocks and purchases, thereby allocating the quantities of materials.
* To maintain a balanced diet and varied menus.
* To be aware of the care users' needs and dietary preferences.
* To maintain the kitchen equipment, as specified by respective manufacturers.
* To ensure that kitchen is left clean after each use, at the end of each shift, leave the kitchen in a clean and hygienic state.
* To ensure that Kitchen is kept in accordance with SFBB.
* To ensure that the opening & closing checks are done daily and recorded
* To ensure that meal is cooked in accordance of any allergies for each resident.
