Forklift Truck Driver

Bluearrow are looking for a Forklift counterbalance/ telehandler
Temp to perm for the right person
O/T paid after 40hrs and weekends

Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Production Manager you will be primarily working in the Yard and Factory responsible for managing two yards and feeding bricks and component parts to multiple production lines in a safe and timely manner. The role will also provide cover to other departments to meet production demands.
The Position
* Hold a current counterbalance and telehandler forklift truck licence
* Take ownership of managing two yards to deliver the company needs
* Manage timely and effective loading and offloading of delivery vehicles
* Coordinate effective communication between all departments.
* Carry out other duties and cover to other departments, where required, to meet the needs of the business.
* Move bricks from yard to factory holding area as and when required for production teams
* Carry out daily safety checks of mechanical equipment
* Respond to busy production teams in order to meet daily production targets
* Ensure bricks are labelled and picked correctly
* Maintain safe and clean working area
* Wear correct and appropriate PPE for the department

The Person
 Experience of working in a busy production environment
 Experience of basic maintenance of modern machinery
 Resilient to working in a noisy brick cutting department
 Resilient to working in wet and cold conditions
 Reliable with an excellent attendance record
 Able to work with little supervision following initial training and induction
 Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices
 Flexible, to work in different departments

 Hours of Work - 40 hours per week (weekend working may be required)
